Voodoo Pharmacology

Experimental Rock from Baltimore

Minnesota for Rock Band Network

We are officially a part of the Rock Band Network – our song “Minnesota” was released on the second day that the RBN launched. We wanted to say thanks to our friends at Fairwood Studios, who made this possible for us, as well as our friends and fans who have already downloaded the song.

Voodoo Pharmacology Now on RadioReddit

www.radioreddit.com

You can now stream our music on radioreddit.com, as well as music by other unsigned/independent acts. It’s a pretty nifty site, and although it’s still under construction, you can definitely see and hear the potential. We would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful Reddit community at large, and especially those lovable sorts who share our music on their radio show. Our next plan for radioreddit? To be the featured artist…

Postcards from the Coming Apocalypse

Lo! Death has reared himself a throne
In a strange city lying alone
Far down within the dim West,
Where the good and the bad and the worst and the best
Have gone to their eternal rest.
There shrines and palaces and towers
(Time-eaten towers that tremble not!)
Resemble nothing that is ours.
Around, by lifting winds forgot,
Resignedly beneath the sky
The melancholy waters lie.

. . .

But lo, a stir is in the air!
The wave – there is a movement there!
As if the towers had thrust aside,
In slightly sinking, the dull tide -
As if their tops had feebly given
A void within the filmy Heaven.
The waves have now a redder glow -
The hours are breathing faint and low -
And when, amid no earthly moans,
Down, down that town shall settle hence,
Hell, rising from a thousand thrones,
Shall do it reverence.

- Edgar Allan Poe

Pictures from the Senator Theater

The dust is finally settling around here, but there are plenty of reasons for us to celebrate the events of this past weekend. Our show at The Senator Theater was a rollicking good time and slowly but surely photographic evidence is starting to emerge, and we find it our duty to humbly point you in its direction.
We would like to share you with some of the work done by the very generous and very talented Mr. Barry Page, which you can see at his website www.photographicpages.com . Our special thanks goes out to all of the bands, artists, performers, dancers, friends and freakies who came out and made this what it was – much love from your pals in Voodoo Pharmacology! Enjoy the images, tell us what you think, and if you have any more pictures, then by Jove, man, show us!

A great new game to play on the internet

You know the drill – you’re sitting at your computer at work, and you’re bored. You have a high speed internet connection, and you’re ready to go nowhere fast, however you just don’t know which useless website to visit. Well, try this little trick – if you can access www.pandora.com, www.youtube.com, and www.playlist.com, open each of these in separate tabs. (NOTE – if you don’t have a Pandora account, get one. It’s free. If you don’t have an account on Playlist, you can just substitute it with a YouTube tab)

Now play a song on Pandora. Once the song begins, go to the YouTube tab and find the same song, and try to sync it up with the song playing on Pandora. Repeat this process on the Playlist tab, and if you can get all three to play in unison before the song ends, you win! If you’d like more of a challenge, open up an extra YouTube tab, or perhaps a last.fm tab, so you have either 4 or 5 tabs open at once.

Good luck, it’s not as easy as you’d think, and it’s even harder to stop once you’ve started….
